Major Ruby Forster F2wslJ

NAME: Ruby Jean Forster

AGE: 33 DOB: October, 21st, 1982

RANK: Major USAF

POSITION: CNO UNS Dreadnought

APPEARANCE: 5’9-1/2”-1.75cm, medium build, green eyes, red hair. Fair complexion.

PERSONALITY: Ruby is more than often seen with a bright smile on her face. She has a rather bubbly personality, always seeing the world as if there was a rainbow every morning. Although often quiet, that is only because she has nothing to say. But open her up and she will keep you entertained for hours and one of her most endearing traits, is that she will engage you on almost any topic with a surprising depth, given her background. If she was to be described by her many friends, the first word to come to mind is her devotion and faithfulness, she always has your back and unless you have done something terribly wrong, Ruby will defend her family and friends to the end. Her strong Scottish accent helps to make her just that more special to those who are close to her.

ATA gene: Has received the ATA gene therapy with limited results.

HISTORY:
The eldest child of George and Mara Forster, Ruby was born and raised in Scotland, growing up in a small village a little north of Glasgow, where her parents ran a successful Pharmacy. She and her brother lived a fairly typical highland life, making friends and often on their weekends, going either camping or on long walks, just enjoying the outdoors. There were few if any relationships with boys for Ruby; as a young girl and teenager, she was a bit of a tomboy, preferring football with her brother and his friends, or fishing with her father. She was a keen student all through her school years, and in almost every class she would finish each year in the top ten of her grade. In high school, biology and social sciences were her favourite subjects.

At the age of 15, the family immigrated to the US and settled in Denver, Colorado; where Ruby and her younger Brother completed high school at the Denver State High, where both were active ROC cadets. On graduation Ruby enlisted into the Air Force and was selected for officer training in the Air Force Medical service. Her brother, two years the younger went into the Merchant Marine, her parents are now running a small but thriving Pharmaceutical Company of their own, specialising in gene therapy.

TRAINING:
Her four years at the Academy were marked with a lot of laughter, her American friends being often confused by her barely at times understandable accent, but it never held her back and she graduated with honours as a 2nd Lieutenant as the end of 2004. During her time at the Academy Hospital, she met the then Major/Doctor Janet Fraiser; who would take great interest, before her tragic death, in the student nurses. Janet became quite close to Ruby in those years, even though young Forster had no idea of the Stargate Programme and was kept unaware, as were all the students of it’s existence until her final year when she was recommended by Janet for recruitment into the SGC. This was a stark revelation for the young Scot, and on her first visits to Colorado Mountain she was like a wide-eyed child. Ruby was accepted into the unique Stargate community on graduation and after completing the 3 month training course at the SGC’s Alpha site, she began her Air Force career as one of the select few graduates that by-passed a regular service life by going straight into the Programme. Her first year there she spent learning all she could and advancing her medical knowledge with the aid of alien technology available to those privileged to be a part of the secrecy that surrounds the SGC. That first year though, was marred by the loss of her mentor Janet Fraiser and it was a loss and heartbreak the young woman never quite got over. Eventually Ruby managed to draw on her inner strength and pushed herself for the sake of survival and distinguished her service with several off world emergency aid missions to Earth Allies. Working with Doctor Warner and later Doctor Carolyn Lam, she was asked to undergo further training as a Battle Trauma specialist and she returned to the Academy Hospital for a period of one year. On completion, she returned to the SGC and was appointed Senior Theatre Nurse, a position she held until her transfer to the USS Hammond. This was made all the more special by her growing relationship to Colonel Connor Mason that ships Captain. Although he had no direct play in her transfer, it was simply her time to serve aboard one of the Fleet’s deep space carriers, a mere coincidence it would seem.

WEAPONS:
As with all Air Force personnel and in particular those attached to the Stargate Programme, Ruby is proficient with the standard issue side arms of the service and has completed a weeks training in the use of the M4A1 and G36M assault rifles. She would only ever use them in self-defence. Ruby is though, quite handy with kitchen utensils.

OTHER IMPORTANT FACTS:
Ruby is simply a great and inventive cook. Seemingly being able to create a wonderful meal out of the most rudimentary ingredients. She was recently awarded the highest accolade possible with the Medal Of Honour, due to her actions on her last off world mission. While the file is still ‘eye only’ Ruby refuses to acknowledge that she did anything worthy of such an honour. Since that action, she has been promoted to Captain and is now Chief Nursing Officer with the Medical Team under Major Michael Jaworksi.
Promoted to Major 2012
